2013 Veteran Service Project

Aloha Class of 2013 `Ohana,

Our first service project of the year is simple, inexpensive and for a worthy cause.

This past November 11th, we honored those who served our country on Veteran’s Day. Unfortunately, many of our Veterans are also homeless.

During this season, basic items like socks are in need to keep them warm. To help our Veterans, we are holding a Socks & Toiletries Drive.

WHEN: December 1 – 14, 2011
WHERE: Drop off your donations at:
Class Meeting – Thursday, December 1, 2011 – 5:30 p.m. – Konia 108/109 - OR -
Smith Administration Office Unit 11/12
WHAT: New pair of men’s socks or toiletries (such as toothbrush, travel size toothpaste & soap, etc.) Items will be donated to Veterans Affairs, Volunteer Services for distribution. Our goal is to get 100 items. Please give to those during this holiday season who have served our country.

Kokua Senior Lu‘au

Aloha Friends,

Just wanted to get a reminder out about this coming Saturday. First of all mahalo nui for being available to help with Senior Luau. I attended a planning meeting with the senior parents and they are soooo appreciative. They suggested we wear our Class of 2013 shirt. If you have it wear it, but if not no problem. Either the red or blue is fine. We have been asked to serving food, but I always like us to be available for other areas of need, so be mindful that the class may ask us to do something else. Please arrive at 4:30 at Kekuhaupio and further instructions will be given at that time. I would appreciative any comments you may glean from this experience as we begin planning our own luau for next year :) WOW!!!

Please donʻt hesitate to call me at 220-4665 if you have any question. If not, Iʻll see you all on Saturday, October 22, 2011, 4:30 p.m. at Kekuhaupio!

Have a fabulous rest of the week!

Malama pono,

Renade
